No. 26: INTIME He felt his pictures were growing less sensitive as they grew larger.  The next day he went to see his sister---who was painting very small.  He thereupon resolved to do the same.

No. 25. Song of Myself. He often thought  about writing his memoirs, but the task seemed a daunting one.  In his mind, the keyboard swelled to an enormous size, and he saw himself  having to leap about on it, jumping from one key to another---like Archy the cockroach in Don Marquis's Archy and Mehitabel (1927).

#24: The Artist's Brain. His headache had raged for three days now. He decided to exorcise it by painting a large picture called The Artist's Brain.

#23: Tomato Still Life. He decided to paint a tomato still life, but the longer he worked the hungrier he got.  Half an hour into the painting, he put away his brushes and made a tomato omelette for his breakfast.
